Mr. Broge's practice focuses heavily on civil litigation defense and typically involves the defense of attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, real estate agents, public entities and employers. Mr. Broge's successes involve the composition and argument of several successful dismissal motions and the achievement of numerous advantageous settlements for his clients. Mr. Broge also conducts a significant amount of insurance practice work consisting of protecting the interests of insurers through the rendering of coverage advice and representation of insurers in coverage litigation. Enhancing Mr. Broge's insurance law background is his unique understanding in the operations of the Underwriters at Lloyd's of London market, which he gained while he was seconded to the Managing Agent for a Lloyd's of London syndicate. While working with syndicate staff, Mr. Broge evaluated claims, formulated claims resolution strategies with other claims personnel, and counseled Underwriters on draft policy wordings and insurance programs for North America. In 2007 Mr. Broge became a partner in Lerch Sturmer. Mr. Broge is admitted to practice law in California and New York. He heads up Lerch Sturmer’s New York office in Goshen, which is located a short distance from New York City.
